Department Introduction:

The Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University, was founded in 1945. Famous otorhinolaryngologists such as Prof.Huang Henian, Prof.Chang Rongxian and Prof. Wang Jianzhong worked in the department and served as its director successively, and the current head of the department is Huang Xinsheng, and the deputy head is Xie Xiaofeng and Shen Na. Under the leadership of these leaders, and through the joint efforts of several generations of colleagues, the department is now characterized by comprehensive treatment of head and neck tumors, and at the same time covers the diagnosis and treatment of various subspecialties of otorhinolaryngology, head and neck surgery.

The department of otorhinolaryngology has opened outpatient clinic, emergency clinic, general ward, day ward and special ward to treat all kinds of difficult diseases in otolaryngology-head & neck surgery. There are 22 doctors in the department, including 14 doctors with doctor's degree, 8 doctors with master's degree, 1 doctor with senior title, 7 doctors with deputy senior title, 1 doctoral and master's degree supervisor, and 2 professional audiologists. Our department integrates medical treatment, teaching and scientific research, and has advanced diagnostic and therapeutic instruments, such as ear microscope, nasal endoscope, TV laryngoscope, fiberoptic nasopharyngoscope, laser therapy instrument, microwave therapy instrument, multi-conducting sleep detector for snoring and low-temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation instrument. With more than 100,000 outpatient and emergency visits throughout the year, the department has four specialized outpatient clinics for neck mass, snoring, vertigo and deafness, which are capable of treating all kinds of common diseases and difficult cases in otorhinolaryngology, rhinology, pharyngology and laryngology, as well as carrying out all kinds of surgeries in otorhinolaryngology, rhinology, pharyngology and laryngology, with specialties in comprehensive treatment of head and neck tumors (laryngeal carcinoma, tumors of the nasal cavity and nasopharynx, tumors of parotid glands, mandible glands, and neck mass, etc.), microsurgery of otitis media, minimally invasive endoscopic treatment of nasal polyp, and comprehensive consultation and treatment of snoring. endoscopic minimally invasive treatment of otitis media, nasal polyps and sinusitis, and comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of snoring.
