Department of Tumor Screening and Prevention
Overview
The Department of Tumor Screening and Prevention of Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University is mainly responsible for promoting the implementation and management of the prevention and control of tumor diseases in the hospital, and undertaking public health work such as tumor disease surveillance, tumor epidemiology and population control, health education and training. The "Healthy China 2030" plan proposes the implementation of cancer prevention and control actions, emphasizing active prevention of cancer, promoting early screening, diagnosis and treatment, reducing cancer incidence and mortality, and improving the quality of life of patients.
Core Responsibilities
Public Health Education: Through large-scale popularization activities such as "Tumor Prevention and Control Awareness Week", as well as daily oncology health education and training, to enhance the public's awareness of cancer prevention and self-care ability.
Data-driven decision-making: Based on the hospital's tumor epidemiology data, we regularly publish reports to provide solid data support for clinical management and assist in the formulation and implementation of precision medicine strategies.
Follow-up System Optimization: Intelligent upgrading of the existing follow-up platform, construction of an exclusive oncology follow-up module, seamless connection and regular tracking of patients both inside and outside of the hospital, to ensure continuous monitoring and timely adjustment of treatment effects.
Leading in quality control standards: Actively participate in and support the quality control work of Shanghai Chemotherapy Quality Control Center to promote the standardization of tumor treatment and improve the overall quality of medical services.
Single-disease database construction: Focusing on high-prevalence tumors, we have established a single-disease database to provide abundant resources for research and teaching, and to promote the optimization and popularization of the "prevention, screening, diagnosis, and treatment" model of tumor management.
Team members
The department consists of four members, including clinicians, public health physicians and researchers, who are multidisciplinary talents. The department is mainly composed of oncology epidemiologists, with one senior title, one intermediate title and two junior titles.
Team Leader
Liu Tianshu, Chief Physician, Professor, Ph.
D. supervisor of oncology, meanwhile, he has been teaching clinical research design courses in clinical epidemiology to postgraduates and young doctors in the hospital for a long time, and serves as a member of the Ethics Committee of Shanghai Regional and Zhongshan Hospital. He has rich clinical practice and research experience in the medical treatment of gastrointestinal tumors. In recent years, he has participated in the research of new drugs in bed as the responsible researcher of the center, and has been involved in more than one hundred international and domestic drug research projects involving gastric, esophageal, colorectal, pancreatic, and biliary tract tumors.
